Working with a subject for an extended period of time allows the opportunity to be creative. I wanted to capture the movement of the kingfisher as it dives like a missile into the water. Gaining this image took several adjustments to the setup and hundreds of attempts to gain something I was pleased with. This image was made possible as the kingfisher seemed to change its mind mid dive, adjusting its approach. I can only assume the fish was moving, but this added to the effect.
